Green Ribbon Arts Festival – creative taster sessions
Throughout the Green Ribbon Arts Festival, we’ll be providing you with a number of opportunities to have a taste of the work that creative practitioners and artists deliver in mental health projects.
They are all free to attend and held live on Zoom. Please book onto this session’s Eventbrite form to attend and do so ASAP to avoid missing out.
Artist Bill Taylor-Beales will guide you through some foundational exercises to get you drawing and thinking in new, exciting and innovative ways.
Materials you may need:
- Paper or old envelopes
- Pens, pencils or crayons
- Card or old cereal boxes packaging
- Glue – Pritt Stick or flour + water
- Mirror or large photo of you

Bill Taylor-Beales, Creative Practitioner
Bill has over 30 years’ experience as a Socially Engaged Artist.
This means that most of his creative time is spent working with others in schools, prisons, hospices and community groups using the creative arts to Enable – Educate and Inspire.
Bill works in multi-media disciplines Film – Music – 2D / 3D Visual Art – Creative Text – Storytelling. He also specialises in Portraiture and is a singer-songwriter/performer.
He has run a community arts charity and is dedicated to seeing creative practice used in all areas of Health and Wellbeing as a means of exploring, sharing, expressing and dissipating mental ill-health.
